Terms of service for non-commercial projects (22.09.2021)
For commercial use please contact me before placing an order.
By ordering a commission from me, you agree to my Terms of Service. If you have questions about any of these rules, please contact me before ordering!

2. Cancelling a Commission

1. Ordering a commission
1.1 Payment
Payment is to be made in full via Paypal in Euros (€). Once we have agreed on the commission details, I will need your paypal address to send you an invoice. Work will be started after payment has been received.
1.2 WIPs
Unless specified differently in the commission description, clients will receive a work-in-progress (WIP) image at the following stages: 1. Sketch - 2. Flatcolor.
I offer up to 2 revisions per sketch. Additional revisions as well as changes after the flatcolor-phase will cost extra, except of course if I made a mistake with the character (that is clearly visible on the provided reference) or if the change is very minor.
1.3 Communication
Wanna know the status of your commission? Feel free to contact me! Just please keep in mind that I do not work on commissions full time, so daily questions are most likely not gonna do much good. I will contact you with WIPs at the aforementioned stages as well as, of course, the finished piece or if I have any questions, e.g. regarding the characters design.
1.4 Schedule and order
To be able to keep my schedule I reserve the right to push another commission in front of yours in case you don't answer questions or send payment in a timely fashion (2 business days). I’m usually working on at least 2 commission at once, so depending on the amount if work needed for each commission one started later than yours might be finished sooner.
1.5 Time sensitive commissions
If the commission is time sensitive you need to tell me so during ordering so I can assess if it's possible. If the commission is finished earlier, I will delay public showcase until the agreed upon date. If the client does not answer questions in a timely fashion (2 business days) the due date gets pushed back according to the delay.
1.6 Finishing date
Unless we agreed on a specific finishing date I cannot name you a time frame for when your commission will be finished, sorry. In my own interest I will try to finish your commission as soon as possible, but please be aware that I work full-time and only do commissions part-time. More importantly quality is my main goal for your commission, so if external influences or health make it impossible to uphold my targeted quality I’ll rather work on it longer instead of finishing it quickly at the cost of quality. Please be prepared to wait a bit when ordering a commission from me. I’ll make sure it’ll be worth it!
2. Cancelling a Commission
2.1 By me
I have the right to decline any commission request without naming a reason. If I have to cancel a commission due to personal reasons, you can choose between receiving a partial refund and the started piece at the last completed stage in full resolution (e.g. sketch, flatcolor) or a full refund (including the normally non-refundable retainer) without the partially finished piece.
2.2 By the client
If the client has to cancel a commission, following refund rules apply after payment has been received: 10% of the total price is kept as a non-refundable retainer/kill fee. Full refunds (excluding the aforementioned kill fee) only if work wasn't started. Partial refunds based on the respective step I have already started (e.g. sketch or flat color). No refunds once shading was started. Possible Paypal fees have to be covered by the client.
2.3 Cancelling due to cessation of contact by the client
If the client does not answer inquiries within 1 month once or in a timely manner (5 business days) multiple times (3 times), I have the right to cancel the commission. If this happens, the client will have to contact me to receive a refund. The following refund rules apply depending on when the refund is requested:
Immediately after cancellation: Partial refund based on the respective step I have already started (e.g. sketch or flat color) minus a 10% non-refundable retainer.
3 months after cancellation: Partial refund based on the respective step I have already started minus a 10% non-refundable retainer but max. 50% of the total price.
6 months after cancellation: No refunds
In all 3 cases, the client will not receive the partially finished piece in full resolution.
3. License
3.1 Usage by me
I am allowed to use your commission on my art related sites (including but not limited to Twitter, Instagram, FurAffinity, DeviantArt, YouTube, Facebook etc.), my homepage and as educational or promotional material (including but not limited to banners, tutorials and other videos). I will not sell prints or merch of your commission unless it was specifically agreed upon. Wherever reasonably possible I will try to credit you as the owner of the character.
3.2 Usage by the client
Once the commission is finished you will receive a full-size jpg-file (and if requested png) for personal use, as well as a smaller, watermarked version for reposting on your personal / social media sites. You may color commissioned sketches/linearts. When reposting or posting an altered version, proper credit is required, naming me as the artist and, if reasonably possible, linking to one of my art sites (Twitter or website preferred).
No commercial use unless we came to a written agreement. You may not make money from the commission, be it directly (e.g. through prints, merch, NFTs, etc.) or indirectly (e.g. as part of advertisements). Only exceptions: You may resell traditional originals and you may include the artwork if you sell your character with all artwork included.
4. Additional info
4.1 Re-using sketches and WIPs
I can't stand leaving nice drawings unused, so I reserve the right to reuse sketches that weren't chosen for the commission in both personal and commercial art. Your character of course won't be used!
4.2 Leisure time art
Please understand that creating art is both my work and my hobby. I work on commissions on my work time, but I might also draw personal art during my time off to relieve stress and better myself as an artist.
If you order a commission from me, you agree to these rules. If you have questions, contact me before buying.
Thank you for your interest!
